ARC ARTISTS + CATALOG

The Artists Recording Collective LLC (ARC) is a modern business model for a professional recording label that began as primarily a jazz music label. Now ARC includes artists whose work encompasses many genres of music.

ARC serves as a brand collective in that it brings together recording musicians, who are also world class musical artists and album producers, under the business umbrella and “safe harbor” of the ARC record label.

Through innovative operations and marketing tactics, the ARC project business model has realized a legitimate position as a recognized professional record label entity.

ARC PROGRAM SAMPLES

ARTS INTEGRATION

Visiting Artists

The ARC Student Jazz Jam Session program realizes the integration of Kansas artists into a music fieldwork educational setting in an actual working community jazz venue – the family-friendly and superbly appointed, 424 Lounge in Leavenworth, Kansas.

The ARC Student Jazz Jam Session program features a 12-month annual residency and professional development collaborations that feature partnerships among our artists, schools, arts organizations, and arts programs of non-arts organizations to provide a learning environment where students of jazz can be mentored on the bandstand.

FREE MONTHLY ARC EDUCATIONAL EVENT

The ARC Student Jazz Jam Session program is also a creative collaboration that integrates jazz music into the areas of functional business practices; helps participants interpret the performance and presentation during the sessions; and supports regional arts programming and community development goals and objectives as well.

The ARC Student Jazz Jam Session program is a collaboration and partnership with 424 Lounge. A primary feature of this program is ARC artist interaction with both students and community members.

STRATEGIC INVESTMENT

Organizational Development

ARC Operations will regularly seek professional development opportunities for the organizations that help strengthen business practices and sustainability, including: (1) Hiring consultants to build administrative and business skills. (2) Develop or upgrade marketing and promotional materials such as brochures, DVDs, CDs, print ads and websites that fulfill strategies to expand audiences, outreach to under-served populations, and promote regional identity.

“Jazz’s First Brand Marketing Collective”

— All About Jazz

Through innovative marketing and promotion tactics, ARC Label releases have been consistently featured and reviewed by all of the major jazz publications, print newspapers, journalists, digital magazines, and blogs.

ARTS INTEGRATION

Innovative Partnerships

ARC supports innovative programming between organizations to impact a variety of community and economic development goals. In 2015 ARC partnered with the American Jazz Museum to develop the highly successful arts-centered program, “ARC LABEL WEEK IN THE BLUE ROOM.”

Two different ARC label artist ensembles based in Kansas and Missouri performed to 150+ capacity audiences each of the four nights booked at the Blue Room Jazz Club – which is simultaneously an actual working jazz club and functional museum exhibit of the American Jazz Museum.

“ARC Label Week in the Blue Room was a resounding success. It was a VERY profitable week for us!”

—  Andre Tyler, Blue Room Bar Manager

This innovative ARC label program not only brought in significant ticket receipts and bar sales, but also introduced hundreds of patrons to that area of the city, thus addressing the KC metropolitan area community need of regional tourism by attracting hundreds of additional visitors during this four-day event to the culturally rich and historic 18th & Vine Jazz District.
