Support 2022 Bird Boot Camp + Musical Salute
2022 Bird Boot Camp + Musical Salute will be held Saturday, August 27th at The Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts in Kansas City. Bird Boot Camp + Musical Salute is a nonprofit program designed to honor Jazz pioneer, Charlie “Yardbird” Parker. It attracts students, grades 5-12 and adult musicains in a full "Charlie Parker" immersion experience including coaching by master musicians, educational lectures, and a culminating BIRD tribute performance that is free and open to the public. Program website is located online at https://BirdBootCamp.org. The Artist-In-Residence this year is a saxophonist and composer, Morgan Faw with his group, "The Flame." Morgan grew up as a musician in KC and recently graduated from The Berklee College of Music. He will be featured in concert and at various venues throughout the week-long annual spotlight festivities.
